Grit Ladage, Project Manager, Center of Maritime Technologies gGmbH has today on the 6th of October presented the LASH FIRE project. The Naval Damage Control Conference is a two day long event from the 5-6 Otcober that this year is held in Southantom in UK.

The focus of the conference is to high-light the ability to respond to damage, whether caused by enemy action, mechanical failure or accident, something that might face those at sea. The ability to respond to fire, flood or other incidents is an essential precondition for any vessel and their ship’s company.

Grit held a LASH FIRE presentation this morning titled “Comparison market perspective – the problem of fires on Ro-Ro decks of passenger ships” where she presented an update on the LASH FIRE progress containing statistics, risk models and available solutions as well as future research and improvements for fire supression.
