Interferry’s Regulatory Affairs Director Johan Roos will present an overview of Interferry’s regulatory efforts over the last year, including IMO/EU updates and progress made by Interferry’s Operators Policy Committee and Sub-Committees. John Garner, FNI, FIMarEST, CMarTec, CMMar will present safety updates, including a LASH FIRE review.
The Interferry conference is Oct. 1-5, 2022 in Seattle at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center.
Johan Roos is based in Sweden. He works in close relation with the European Community Shipowners’ Associations (ECSA) and the International Chamber of Shipping and represents Interferry at the International Maritime Organization. He holds a Masters Degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden.
As founding director of JG Maritime Solutions Limited, John Garner has provided advice to three ferry newbuild projects, new business development projects as well as conducting the surveys of ten ferry operators for the Inmarsat report. John is a former Interferry Director, the current chair of the Interferry Regulatory Committee and provides regulatory liaison on behalf of Interferry in the LASH FIRE project.
